Who is Jimmy

Jimmy, mathematician and educator

A teacher
who learns.

I'm a mathematician, researcher, and educator. I've taught IB Mathematics in international schools in Milan and Dubai, and lectured Statistics at Università Milano-Bicocca.

Before teaching, I spent years as a researcher at the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT, and at the University of Helsinki, with work published in Nature Genetics and Nature Human Behaviour. I hold a Master's in Biostatistics with honours from Milano-Bicocca, I'm currently a PhD candidate in Mathematical and Computational Sciences, and in parallel studying Philosophy, because some questions don't have equations.

I also collaborate with Zanichelli, Italy's most respected academic publisher, on inquiry-based mathematics laboratories.

I work with a small number of students at a time. Sessions are one-to-one, tailored, and built around genuine understanding. I believe the right question teaches more than the right answer.
